The Brief

Delicious Dining an existing customer of CCM EPOS contacted us to provide a solution for a new build Tapas restaurant which would be opening in the heart of Southampton’s Cultural Quarter.

The operation would be over two floors, providing quick and efficient table service.

The Solution

The solution that CCM EPOS specified would be a total of eight  touchscreen tills, six of these would have rear displays to display the customer transactions and also use as a scrolling marketing and advertising screen. When not in use this can be changed remotely via Google Slides.

To ensure the table service was slick and efficient CCM EPOS suggested a total of four handheld ordering devices using Pocket Touch which would enable the operators to take orders at the table and send the orders directly to the kitchen for saving time and manpower.

To avoid any errors with lost orders and to improve efficiency with food orders in the kitchen a Touch Kitchen video system was installed. This ensures no paper orders are lost or accidentally destroyed and the kitchen staff have a clear view of the orders which have been sent through and also the progress of that order. A small touchscreen pc was installed to act as the chefs control device whilst outputting the feed to two wall mounted TV’s. One at the front of the kitchen and one at the back. This ensured the whole kitchen was in the loop but only the head chef controlled when an order was ready to leave the kitchen.

As Delicious Dining is a busy multi outlet and multi themed restaurant operator they also required to have access to up to the minute sales figures and the ability to make system changes from anywhere with internet access for this CCM EPOS implemented Touch Office Web

The Outcome

Through working closely with the directors of delicious dining and the management of Tapas Barcelona CCM EPOS were able to provide an effective solution which was implemented thoroughly and professionally. This started from offering advice on cabling and till placement with the site foreman at the start of the build, right down to being on site on the opening night to help with any last minute jitters.
